Welcome to the ANZAC Centenary Schools Link Program (ACSLP)

The ACSLP is a pilot program inspired by the creation of the Australian Remembrance Trail in France and Belgium. It is designed to provide strategies, support and a forum to encourage schools in France and Belgium to partner with schools in Australia to commemorate the Centenary of World War 1 in a variety of exciting, meaningful and enduring ways.
At a time when commemorative programs around the world are focusing on the events and lessons of 100 years ago, this program will engage and challenge the young people of the three nations to investigate, learn, understand, connect, share findings and to renew the links that bound their families 100 years ago.
This website is a portal for students, teachers and local communities to share their learning experiences and discoveries. There are many ways to do this by:

  • Adopting a soldier or nurse and preserving their stories
  • Sharing resources and information about the impact of war on their own local communities, noting the similarities and differences
  • Creating a personal cemetery register of French, Belgian and Australian graves
  • Sharing stories, memorabilia and community commemorative activities
  • Creating an international photo exhibition of the
